2010 Engineering & Operations (E&O) Technical Conference

E&O Logo March 28-31, 2010
 Hilton Omaha Hotel
 Omaha, Nebraska

The 54th Annual APPA Engineering & Operations Technical Conference will be held March 28-31, 2010 in Omaha, Nebraska.

For more than 50 years, the American Public Power Association has been hosting its annual Engineering & Operations Technical Conference at public power utilities across the United States. Through attending APPA’s Engineering and Operations Technical Conference, utility personnel will experience some of public power’s greatest attributes – our ability to learn from one another, share ideas, meet new people, and renew friendships.  Each of these attributes has become more critical with the emergence of new standards, regulations, development of fast-tracked technologies, and availability of large amounts of stimulus money.

The Engineering & Operations Technical Conference provides an excellent forum to discuss "real world" issues, enabling attendees to make informed decisions regarding projects such as smart grid, cyber security, and renewable energy.  The recipients of the 2010 Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3TM ) designation will also be recognized for their commitment to reliability, safety, work force development, and system improvement.

Through the safety exhibitions and educational classes at the Rodeo, lineworkers ply their trade and provide hands-on demonstrations of safe-working techniques. Join us to learn, network, and grow at the 54th Engineering & Operations Technical Conference and 10th Annual Lineworkers Rodeo!

The Engineering & Operations Technical Conference continues to be the only national conference designed to meet the needs of public power engineering and operations staff by focusing in the areas of transmission and distribution, environmental policy, generation, safety, SCADA, metering, security and system planning.
